Prestigious Charter Mark Accreditation Achieved

September 2008 saw Bryson Education Unit undergoing assessment for Charter Mark accreditation. Charter Mark is the U.K. Government’s standard for excellence in customer service.
To gain accreditation, part of the process involved production of a rigorous set of Customer Service Standards in consultation with customers and stakeholders and measure performance against them.
Over the two days of assessment, evidence was scrutinized to determine whither or not the department had met the required standards, schools were visited so teachers could voice their opinions and stakeholders and partners were invited to an informal lunch where they met with the assessor, Paul Hindley.
At the end of two days of rigorous assessment, the department was awarded Charter Mark accreditation, with two best practices, one for use of technology and the other for choice offered to customers.
The department will continue to strive to offer excellence in customer service and improve the quality and range of programmes offered to schools.
